Understand Emergent AI pricing, credit top-ups, and the differences between Free, Standard, and Pro before choosing a plan for your next app project.
Understanding Emergent AI pricing matters before you start a large build. Generating a prototype, revising it, and keeping an application online are different activities, so the subscription headline alone does not tell you your total budget.
In my video, I compare the available plans and show how buying additional credits works. You can explore Emergent AI alongside the walkthrough. This is a partner link: I may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.
How Emergent AI Credits Work
Credits are the allowance used for AI building tasks. You spend them as you ask the platform to generate or change your project. A simple first version and a long series of revisions will not necessarily consume the same amount.
My practical advice is to start with one focused feature and watch the balance after each meaningful change. This gives you a better estimate for your project than assuming another creator's app will cost exactly the same to reproduce.
Keep a separate note of deployment charges shown in your account. Do not assume that every credit in your plan is available for development if your live projects also have ongoing costs.
What the Free Plan Is For
The free option lets you explore the interface and begin prototyping before paying. In the recording, I discuss both daily and monthly allowances, but the narration is inconsistent about the exact numbers. I would not use those statements as a reliable current quota.
Instead, check your own dashboard for the balance, renewal period, and any account-specific bonus. Signing up through a partner link does not establish a guaranteed extra monthly allowance unless the current offer explicitly confirms it.
Standard and Pro Compared
The figures below describe the plans shown during the recording, not a verified live price list. Features, allowances, currencies, and billing terms may have changed.
| Option shown | Credits discussed | Main reason to consider it |
|---|---|---|
| Free | Check the current dashboard | Learn the workflow and try a small prototype |
| Standard | 100 monthly credits | Continue building, with private hosting and GitHub integration shown |
| Pro | 750 monthly credits | Higher usage and the advanced features demonstrated |
Standard is where I would begin evaluating a paid subscription for an ordinary project. In the video, I show GitHub integration for exporting code and maintaining version history, plus the option to buy more credits rather than immediately moving to Pro.

Buying Extra Credits Without Changing Plans
In my paid account, opening the credit balance reveals purchase options. The examples shown include 100 credits for $20 and 250 for $50, along with a custom-amount option. These are recording examples, not guaranteed current prices.
Before purchasing, compare three things:
- How many additional credits you expect to need this month.
- The checkout price, taxes, and any expiration conditions.
- Whether a different subscription would actually reduce your total cost.
An occasional top-up can be more suitable than paying for a larger recurring plan. Regularly exhausting your allowance is a reason to compare plans again.
When the Pro Features Matter
The Pro plan shown includes a larger context window, system-prompt editing, custom agents, and priority support. Those features are worth evaluating when you have a specific use for them, not simply because the plan is positioned above Standard.
A context window is measured in tokens, not a guaranteed number of PDF pages. Document layout, images, and processing limits affect what a model can use, so do not treat a page-count estimate as an upload guarantee.
My Recommendation
Start by testing the smallest useful version of your app. Measure your actual consumption, then review Emergent's available plans against that usage. Consider Standard before Pro unless you need a particular advanced capability, and check ongoing hosting costs separately.
