How to Create a WordPress Website with Hostinger and AI

Build a professional WordPress website in minutes with Hostinger's AI. This guide covers site generation, content customization, and domain setup.

Building a professional website used to take days of coding or complex technical setup. Today, Hostinger's integrated AI tools let you create a fully functional WordPress website in under 10 minutes. Whether you are a freelancer, blogger, or small business owner, this approach removes the technical barriers that once slowed things down.

This guide walks you through every step: choosing a plan, setting up your domain, letting the AI generate your site, customizing your pages, and navigating the WordPress dashboard. No code required.

Step 1 – Choose the Right Hostinger Plan

To get started, visit Hostinger using the link below and sign up for an account. The key decision here is your plan tier: you need the Plus plan to access the AI tools used in this tutorial. Lower-tier plans do not include the AI website builder.

When selecting your subscription period, longer commitments offer better per-month savings. Once you reach the payment screen, click "Have a coupon code" and enter JULIANWEBER to receive an extra 10% off your order.

Discount note: The partner link above gives you up to 77% off. The coupon code JULIANWEBER stacks an additional 10% on top of that.

If you would prefer to skip the AI setup and install WordPress manually instead, the step-by-step WordPress installation guide for Hostinger covers that process in full.

Step 2 – Create Your Account and WordPress Credentials

After selecting your plan, you can log in with Google or register with an email address and password. Once inside, Hostinger presents a guided WordPress setup flow:

  1. Choose your language for the WordPress admin interface.
  2. Enter an email address and password for your WordPress login. Store these somewhere safe—they are your admin credentials.
  3. Select the AI setup option. This is the path that lets the platform build the initial site structure for you. Do not skip this step if you want to use the AI features.

Step 3 – Register or Skip Your Domain

Next, Hostinger asks you to choose a domain. One domain is included with the Plus plan, so if you already have a name in mind, type it in and check availability. Hostinger will confirm whether it is free to register.

If you are just exploring or following along with this tutorial, you can select a temporary domain and attach a real domain later. This does not affect the setup process.

Once you confirm your domain choice, Hostinger installs WordPress automatically. This step takes a couple of minutes.

Step 4 – Use the AI to Generate Your Website

After installation completes, the AI assistant prompts you for two things:

  • Your brand name – for example, "Julian's Tutorials"
  • Your website type and description – options include Portfolio, Business, or Blog, followed by a short text description of what your site is about

The description field is flexible. In the tutorial demonstration, a single sentence was used: "I'm Julian Weber, a YouTuber doing website tutorials about WordPress and other content management systems." The AI used that one sentence to generate a complete site. That said, the more context you provide, the more tailored the output will be.

Click Create and the AI generates your site in seconds. The output includes:

Page generatedContent included
HomepageHeadline, intro paragraph, placeholder image, CTA button
Portfolio pageProject section with sample entries
Tutorial/Blog pagePre-populated sample blog posts
About pageAI-written bio section
Contact infoSocial media icons and contact details

You can review the generated site and regenerate it if you are not satisfied. Once you are happy with the structure, click Confirm and Edit to enter the visual editor.

Step 5 – Customize Your Content in the Visual Editor

The editor is built on WordPress's native Gutenberg block editor, so every element on the page—headlines, paragraphs, images, buttons—is an individual block you can click and edit directly.

Replacing text and images

  • Click any headline or paragraph block to edit the text.
  • To swap a placeholder image, click the image block and select Replace, then upload your own file from your computer.

Adding new content blocks

If you want to remove an image and add a video instead, delete the image block, click the + icon, and choose Browse All to see every available block type. Options include paragraphs, headings, quotes, galleries, images, and videos.

To embed a YouTube video, insert a video block, paste the YouTube URL, and click Insert from URL. The video will embed directly on the page.

Linking buttons

To update a call-to-action button, click it, type the new label text, and add the destination URL or select a page from your site. The About page link, for example, can be set by typing "about" in the URL field.

Mobile responsiveness

You do not need to do anything extra for mobile. The AI-generated sites are automatically optimized for desktop, tablet, and mobile. You can zoom out inside the editor to preview how your site will render on a phone. Edits made on the desktop view apply across all device sizes.

Step 6 – Edit Blog Posts Separately

An important distinction: pages (Homepage, About, Portfolio) are edited through the visual site editor, but blog posts are edited through a separate post editor.

To edit a blog post the AI generated, navigate to that post and click Edit Post. This opens the same Gutenberg editor but scoped to that individual post. The AI pre-populates several sample posts as placeholders—replace their content with your own before publishing.

Step 7 – Navigate the WordPress Dashboard

Click the WordPress logo in the top-left corner of the editor to reach the WordPress admin dashboard. This is the back-end control panel that only you (as the site admin) can see. Key sections include:

  • Pages – view, add, or delete site pages
  • Posts – manage your blog content
  • Plugins – install additional functionality
  • Comments – respond to reader comments on blog posts

To return to the front end and see your site as visitors see it, go to your site name in the dashboard and click Visit Site. From there you can also access the page editor for individual pages.

Hostinger connects your domain to your WordPress site automatically, so once you are ready to go live, no manual DNS configuration is required.

What the AI Builds vs. What You Still Need to Do

It helps to be clear about what the AI handles and what requires your input:

AI handles automaticallyYou need to provide
Site structure and pagesYour brand name and description
Placeholder text and contentYour real text, images, and videos
Mobile-responsive layoutYour logo and personal photos
Sample blog postsUpdated post content
Domain connection (with Hostinger)Domain name choice

The AI gives you a working starting point. The customization work—swapping placeholder content for real content—is straightforward and does not require any coding knowledge.

Who Is This Workflow Best For?

This approach works well for:

  • Freelancers and creatives building a portfolio site quickly
  • Small business owners who need a professional web presence without hiring a developer
  • Bloggers who want a clean, pre-structured site to start publishing on
  • Beginners who have never used WordPress before and want a guided starting point

Recommendation

Hostinger's AI website builder genuinely delivers on its promise for beginners and time-pressed users. It produces a structured, multi-page WordPress site from a single descriptive sentence, handles mobile optimization automatically, and connects your domain without manual configuration. The remaining work—swapping placeholder content for your own—is manageable for anyone comfortable clicking and typing.

The main requirement is choosing the Plus plan to unlock the AI tools. If you are happy to build manually, a lower-tier plan works, but you will lose the AI-assisted setup that makes this workflow so fast.
